Connection Call
Plan Together
Once you’re booked, I take care of the details. You’ll receive a welcome guide, style guidance, and preparation tips so you know exactly what to expect. I help with outfits, colors, and even how to prepare your kids (and husbands!)
Session Day
This is the easy part. I will gently guide you the entire time. I focus on connection, movement, and real moments, not stiff poses. Kids can play, cuddle, run around, and be themselves… that’s where the magic happens.

Working with me is meant to feel easy from the very beginning. I know family photos can feel overwhelming. Thinking about what to wear, how the kids will act, whether your partner even wants to be there so my job is to take that weight off of you.
On session day, you don’t have to perform or be perfect. That is the opposite of what I want to capture. I will gently direct you the entire time while also giving space for real moments to happen.
Your children don’t have to sit still, and you don’t have to worry about posing at all. I focus on connection, movement, and genuine interaction. The session ends up feeling more like time together than a photoshoot.

I always recommend coordinating outfits rather than perfectly matching—think complementary colors and textures. The good news? Every session comes with a custom style guide tailored to the season and session type to make planning easy!
While I wish I could control the weather, I can’t! Flexibility is key with outdoor sessions, as weather can change even last minute. If we need to reschedule due to weather, I handle it on a case-by-case basis. I’ll always offer options based on my availability, and I’ll do my best to ensure we capture your session at the right time. Rest assured, I’m always watching the weather and will reach out if needed, so we can plan together!
You don’t need to worry. I never expect children to sit perfectly still. I guide the session around connection and movement, not strict posing. Kids are allowed to play, cuddle, explore, and take breaks if needed. Some of the best images actually come from those in-between moments.
I recommend securing your maternity and newborn sessions by the second trimester to ensure availability. Family sessions are best booked at least 2 months in advance. For birthday/cake smash sessions, it’s best to book when your baby is around six months old. This allows enough time to secure a date and ensures your gallery is delivered before their birthday celebration.
Life happens! Non-weather reschedules are handled according to the session agreement and availability. The sooner you contact me, the easier it is to find a new date.
Sessions can take place outdoors at a pre-selected location, in your home (lifestyle sessions), or in my in-home studio depending on the session you booked. I’ll help guide you to the best option based on your family and the look you want.
Turnaround time can vary depending on the type of session booked. We will always discuss your timeline and when you may need your images before the end of your session.
In most cases, galleries are delivered within a few weeks, and no later than four weeks at the absolute latest. You’ll receive a private online gallery where you can view, download, and select your images.
